An authentic high country family lodge, the Seymour Lake Lodge invites you to relax, unwind, enjoy the quiet atmosphere, and listen to the loons on Lake Seymour. A complimentary "all you can eat" continental breakfast is available each morning in this beautifully restored mid-19th century lodge, furnished to the period. Seymour Lake is one of Vermont's most beautiful lakes and can be explored in one of the lodge's canoes or kayaks that are available for use. On a warm summer's day, a swim in the lake is very refreshing at the half-mile beach directly across from the lodge. At day's end, sit on the large porch and enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the lake while enjoying dinner. Just above the lodge in the surrounding mountains are several ponds and streams, which are great for fishing, canoeing and hiking. Guests almost always see loons, ducks, moose, deer, and beavers. Local guides are more than willing to assist with hunting or fishing trips. Seymour Lake is known for its excellent fishing and is conveniently located on major New England bike touring routes and snowmobile trails. There are kitchen privileges for families and guests to make their own meals. The kitchen is completely furnished with dishes, refrigerator, microwaves, an outdoor grill in the summer, and electrical appliances. The lodge also offers satellite dish television with movie channels and Walt Disney videos, movies, and a computer jack. A gas station and convenience store is located just across the street, and an Antique and Gift shop is located in the lodge. Each comfortable room has a shared or private bathroom. The self-contained two-bedroom apartment is fully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, wood stove/fireplace, private bath, and a deck overlooking the lake. The two-bedroom suite has a private entrance on the first floor, tin ceilings, pine floors, and large windows with a lake view. It also offers a washer and dryer, satellite television, and a refrigerator. Pets are welcome in the two-bedroom apartment and suite.   1144198433

28 Valley Road, Morgan, VT - From Burlington International Airport: Start out going South on Airport Drive toward Patrick Street. Turn left onto US 2/Theodore Roosevelt Highway/Williston Road. Turn left onto Industrial Avenue. Turn left onto Essex Road/VT-2A. Continue to follow VT-2A for two miles. Make a slight right turn onto Main Street/VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway. Continue to follow VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway for three miles. Turn right onto Jericho Road/VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway. Continue to follow VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway for six miles. Turn left to stay on VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway and continue for 10 miles. Make a slight right turn onto VT-15. Stay straight to go onto VT-15/Grand Army of the Republic Highway and continue for nine miles. Turn left onto VT-100C. Make a slight right turn onto VT-100 North and continue for 28 miles. VT-100 North becomes VT-105. Turn right onto US-5/VT-105/Main Street North. Turn left onto US-5/VT-105. Turn right onto VT-105/VT-191. Turn left onto Western Avenue/VT-105. Turn right onto East Main Street/US-5/VT-105. Continue to follow VT-105 for four miles. Turn left onto VT-111. After approximately nine miles, turn left onto Valley Road and continue for less than 1/10 mile to the property.
